There is a growing range of websites and, hence, a growing number of organisations that should be able to help you think about preparing for possible future changes that could affect humanitarian concerns and, therefore, some of the assumptions that you make about your organisational strategies, programmes and projects. In this section, we break down the wide range of these organisations into four broad categories:

• Sites that look at issues and trends that will increase the exposure of human beings to threats endangering lives and livelihoods.
• Sites that we feel provide innovative ways to counter humanitarian threats, such as new technologies or disaster risk reduction websites.
• Sites that highlight elements of 'the Humanitarian Organisation of the Future' – anticipatory, adaptive, collaborative, and innovative.
• Sites that highlight the tools, methods, and strategies humanitarian organisations can utilize to prepare for the future.
