Integrated Action Plan Phase (IAP) Two Analysis: United Nations Country Team of Tajikistan

Date: 2009
Author: HFP

Following an initial assessment of the UNCT in May 2008, HFP conducted a follow‐up mission in June/July 2009 to explore concrete ways to support the Government of Tajikistan, the UNCT, and other stakeholders to prepare for an increasingly complex future.

The premise for HFP’s work in Tajikistan is the belief that a UN country system of the future will need the capacity for understanding and formulating policies that relate to a confluence of issues ranging across many sectors and disciplines in order to remain relevant. This second visit focused on the potential role of innovation, communication and technology in supporting the ability of practitioners to understand and prepare for the diverse factors affecting human vulnerability. This report reflects the findings of this final mission.
