Furthering the exchange between climate scientists and humanitarian and development policy makers.

Report of a one day workshop held in March 2010 to consider the importance, and difficulties, of ensuring that climate science can appropriately inform humanitarian and development planning. Attended by climate scientists from a range of universities and research institutes and policy makers from different government departments and non governmental organisations, discussion highlighted some of the major constraints to effective application of climate science, before developing the approaches through which the exchange initiative supported by HFP is proposing to develop climate information which is useful for humanitarian and development decision making.
