Beyond Crisis Seminar
Presented by: HFP/ SAMI
Date and time: Wednesday 24 March 2010, 12.00 to 14.00
The next decade will present many uncertainties and organisational challenges on an unprecedented scale. As the financial crisis winds its way through the system, a new world order is being revealed. There will be no return to ‘business as usual’.
This lunch-time seminar explored the changes in the external world, and outlined how organisations can cope with the uncertainty these changes bring. The discussion was based on work recently published in Beyond Crisis by Gill Ringland, Oliver Sparrow and Patricia Lustig.
‘In today's stormy waters, beware the guide who promises to take you safely back to port: that way lies the scrap-yard. If instead you want to know how countries, companies and individuals can master the winds and the waves that will dominate the next decade, this is the book for you.’
Rupert Pennant-Rea, former editor of The Economist, and Deputy Governor of the Bank of England
The seminar was delivered by Gill Ringland and Patricia Lustig. Gill Ringland is CEO and a Fellow of SAMI Consulting, which helps organisations make robust decisions in uncertain times.
