Stage One Analysis of HFP Work to Date: A discussion document for HFP stakeholders
Date: 2009
Author: HFP
The primary objective of the Humanitarian Futures Programme has always been to explore how organisations with humanitarian roles and responsibilities can prepare to meet the humanitarian challenges of the future. Our intention was and continues to be to look for ‘tools’, methods and approaches to enhance the futures-oriented capacities of relevant organisations.
This report summarises the main research and partner-development projects carried out by the HFP in its first three years, and draws together some of the major findings and achievements of the programme’s work in that time. It also identifies important challenges, and areas in which further work is needed.
This report was presented to the Stakeholders Forum in November 2009 to inform a debate on evaluating the programme’s impact as well as guiding the HFP’s agenda for the coming years. Further information on this discussion and the rest of the Stakeholders Forum can be found in the Archive Events Section.
